+=-+-=--=+ Resident Action +=--=-+-=+
Awhile ago, Shinji Mikami discussed how the poor sales of Resident Evil REbirth led to the focus on action in the series. He stated his primary goal of scaring the player changed making the game fun to drive up sales. While this was successful, it led to the latest entries in the series to become more and more action oriented. Shinji believes this is how Dead Space evolved to an action focused series.
Jordan, its pretty much all your fault video games suck, buy more of them to reverse this.
SNARKY QUIP TIME: Maybe if more games of a certain genre were produced, more of those games would have the opportunity to be bought. Which then leads to more sales for larger projects. Why not have small scale arcade releases????
SERIOUSLY GUYS THINK!
-+=+-+=+- The Last of Us... in This General Area -+=+-+=+-.
The plans for the Last of Us DLC have been revealed. A season pass is now available to get early prepaid status for three pieces of upcoming add-ons, one campaign and two multiplayer. The first multiplayer add-on is the Abandoned Territories map pack, which is to contain at least four maps. The Suburbs Map is to have dynamic map instances where random dust storms will kick up to obscure vision. Hometown is set at night and will welcome stealth action. See the E3 giraffes in Bus Depot. And finally, visit me at the library in Bookstore.
The story DLC is set to be released by the end of the year, with performance capturing scheduled to begin next week. It is set during the initial outbreak and will follow a new character. In regards to sequels, Naughty Dog stated while they plan to make another entry, it will not involve Joel or Ellie, as their book is now closed.
The Last of Us season pass is available for $19.99 and will provide a 30% savings compared to if you bought the DLC separately. The season pass also includes several extra items exclusive to it.
