EA has announced that they will be discontinuing the usage of Online Passes with their video games. This decision came around when EA realized that gamers didn't like online passes, after twenty or so tries. Even though they're scratching this detail off their "Summoning a Money Dragon" guide, all EA games with online passes will still require them. Including all the single-player only games. Hopefully they won't follow up with more ridiculous micro-transactions to fill the empty spots.

Awhile ago, Avalanche Studios served up some cool screenshots of what appeared to be either a Mad Max game or Just Cause 3. Recently, Avalanche announced that they were putting the project on ice. They supplied some details of what the game actually was. A steampunk-themed, sandbox game. Whether or not the team has completed iced the project is unknown. Avalanche said they chilled this project in order to focus on another next-gen/current-gen game. Stay frosty.
