RPGs have the ability to either project yourself onto a blank slate, or create someone new from a plethora of choices.  Even if in game nothing is stated about your character, you yourself know his or her backstory.  Dark Souls is a shining example of blank slate character creation.  The only bit of backstory given to your character is that they're an undead, locked in an asylum.  While game wise, every character is also the Chosen Undead, story wise its only a potential outcome.  Given this, and the multiverse aspect of the world thanks to the strange time flow, the same event in the world can be experienced by two different people at two different moments in time.

So anyway, share your story.

Dark Souls

Royce Treno ~The Resolute Youth
A young knight of Astora, Royce set out for the land of Lordran on his own accord, despite not being undead, nor brandishing a darksign.  Those who question his business receive the response of a brother looking for his beloved sister.  Despite being younger than most, his family ensured he was a capable fighter before becoming a knight.  With this training, most of the residents of Lordran proved no threat.
On arrival, he found no hardships in reaching Sen's Fortress as the gates were already opened.  The serpent people inside were unfamiliar to him, but not the strangest sight he had seen.  Careful planning and quick execution brought the knight to the roof, where he would meet Iron Tarkus of Berenike.  If it weren't for this chance encounter, the Iron Golem that laid ahead surely would've killed him.
Anor Londo was his first encounter with Cybelline on his journey, but only by sight.  Cybelline disappeared into the painting hall.  In a wake of bodies, Royce only found Iron Tarkus, dying in the open.  Before passing on, he told Royce about the woman who entered the painting that stood above them.  Rumors he spoke of, one such saying of a way to enter the painted realm that acted as a prison to what the gods felt were vile.  To the northern undead asylum.  Inside resides a doll that does not feel of this world. Tarkus shared as much as he could before drawing his last breath.  Before leaving, Royce sat the hero against the wall in a dignified position.  It was the least he could do.
Following Tarkus's guidance, Royce made his way to the abandoned asylum to the north. He almost fell victim to a floor crumbling away as he entered. The fall introduced him to a massive demon. He was easily on the losing end of the fight, but the knight took advantage of the demon's clumsy nature, making it hit the pillar holding the rest of the floor up. Royce took cover as the collapsing roof crushed the demon. Royce located the doll Tarkus spook of and left, headed back to Anor Londo.
The doll let off the strangest sound when Royce laid his hand on the painting. He became entranced with the ruins it depicted. As he stared into the painting, it seemed to stretch, going behind his perspective. Royce blinked once and found himself on a long, shaky rope bridge leading to the ruins.

Cybelline Treno ~The Respected Legend
Older sister to the young knight Royce.  She was trained in the arts of miracles under the guidance of the Way of the White.  Prior to becoming an undead, Cybelline participated in countless battles in the name of her homeland.  These battles led to her status as a hero to her people, a title which she ensured was never tarnished by misdeed.  One legend takes account of a hunt for a drakeling that was terrorizing towns in the Five Finger Delta.  Along with five other knights, the knightess tracked the drakeling for two weeks through the Delta farmlands.  It was at the conclusion of this excursion when Cybelline, along with two of her knights, met their end.
Marked with the darksign, Cybelline was most likely amongst the undead who were corralled to the north.  It was towards the end of the Age of Fire, when word reached the surrounding realms, that the paladin-knight Cybelline was spotted in Lordran.  Her sighting lead her brother to come to the land.

Elise ~The Drifting Soul
The lonely Elise spent much of her life traveling the regions.  In her travels through Vinheim, she met a Stealth Sorcerer who taught the basics of soul sorcery.  Unfortunately, the sorcerer's clients caught up to him, who weren't entirely satisfied with his ability to leave no evidence.  While fleeing, they two were brought to a large drop and thrown off.  The sorcerer managed to save Elise with a fall controlling sorcery, but wasn't able to help himself.  Heartbroken, Elise resumed her wandering lifestyle until one day she passed in her sleep in the winter streets of Astora.
This would've been the end for her, if she weren't marked by the accursed Darksign.  On the day of her reawakening, she found herself in a corpse wagon headed towards the north.  As the caravan traversed the Great Swamp, Elise took advantage of the thick foliage and escaped.  Back to drifting, she eventually found herself in Lordran, a land perfectly suited to her habits.
Throughout her journey, she met several other undead, including a couple of sorcery teachers from Vinheim.  Having to adapt to the hostile land, she trained herself in using a broadsword, eventually enchanting it to better suit her skills.  Soon, she found her herself strong enough to travel the land with little need of concern.

Dark Souls II

Cybelline ~The Wandering Mystery
An soulless traveler who found her way to the cursed land of Drangleic.  Confronted by the red crones, she revealed herself to share the name of a legendary knightess.  Aside from the name, she does not display any resemblance to the old legends.  Has bright blue hair and an eagle tattooed on her cheek.

Mondo ~ The Betrayed Pupil

Coming to Lordran to find his friend "Drexl the Boar Face". Mondo Traced the steps of Boar Face, Mondo walked over the snake corpses in Sen's Fortress and the Sentinel remains in Anor Londo. Alas he was too late, finding only the bloody boar helmet of his friend's namesake and the distant laughing of the Silver Knights. Mondo found himself in prison after attempting to super murder the Anor Londo Archers(ALA). He was left to rot, hopeless in the asylum, only to be saved by the unlikely of creatures. "I (Caw) can guide you (Caw Caw)" It was Crow'O the 7th tossing Mondo the key to his cell. With fresh direction Mondo quickly vanquished the monsters of Undead burg, the Depths, and the dreaded Blight town. Mondo was back in Anor Londo, but with a new advantage. "Fuckin' book it! CAW! CAW!" Said Crow'O. Mondo quickly sliced though the ALA, giving Him a unstoppable bloodlust. It was soon Mondo defeated the guardians of the Lordvessel. Blood thirsty, Mondo sought to to destroy the Lords of old.

I find a flaw in your story.  Why is there no mention of Piscasas?
